Who we are.
In 2011, Chris Lee, founder of DUKSU COMPANY, began his career at a respected boutique tax and business management firm led by a former IRS executive.
Over the next nine years, he progressed from associate to general manager and played a key role in expanding the firm’s tax controversy practice. In that capacity, he successfully represented high-profile clients, including celebrities, professional athletes, and high-net-worth individuals.
Working closely with IRS personnel, Chris gained an in-depth understanding of IRS structure, procedures, and the Internal Revenue Manual, as well as the interpersonal and negotiation skills essential for favorable outcomes. To this day, he maintains strong professional relationships with many local IRS employees and managers he worked with during that time.
In 2019, Chris joined a large national tax resolution firm as tax manager, where he supervised cases, resolved complex taxpayer issues, and trained junior staff. While there, he observed a growing trend in the industry: many firms had shifted to heavy digital marketing and sales-driven models, often at the expense of case quality, staffing, and expertise in the resolution department.
In 2022, determined to put taxpayers first, Chris left to launch DUKSU COMPANY — a boutique tax controversy and management firm built on a simple principle: deliver honest, knowledgeable, and effective representation without the distractions of aggressive marketing or high-pressure sales.
As a licensed Enrolled Agent (EA) and NTPI Fellow, Chris and the DUKSU team provide personalized strategies tailored to each client’s unique situation, with the ultimate goal of restoring compliance, resolving tax debt, and helping clients achieve lasting financial peace.
At DUKSU COMPANY, we treat every client with compassion and respect — and many end up becoming lifelong friends.
