What we offer.

The mere thought of dealing with the IRS or state taxing authorities can feel overwhelming. Ideally, tax problems are avoided altogether through timely voluntary compliance. However, life events, financial hardship, or simple avoidance sometimes lead to situations where taxpayers must confront serious tax issues.

While some taxpayers choose to work directly with the IRS or state revenue departments—and with enough time and research, many simple matters can be resolved on their own—we often encourage that approach when appropriate. That said, there are compelling reasons to engage an experienced, licensed practitioner. A qualified professional not only saves you significant time and emotional stress but also brings deep knowledge of available resolution options, taxpayer rights, and the practical (and legal) boundaries within which taxing authorities operate.

At DUKSU COMPANY, we take an honest, ethical, and strategic approach to every case. Drawing on more than 14 years of specialized experience, we negotiate the most favorable outcome possible—tailored specifically to your unique situation and needs.

Tax Controversy #2 - examination/audit

The purpose of an IRS or state audit (also called an examination) is to verify the accuracy of filed tax returns and to determine whether additional taxes, interest, or penalties are owed due to underreported income, disallowed deductions, or other discrepancies.

Depending on the scope and complexity of the issues selected for review, most audits can be resolved through written correspondence or phone discussions. More complex cases may require in-person meetings (field or office audits).

We provide audit representation for the following type of audits:

  • Under-Reporting Exam (Notice CP2000)

  • Correspondence Exam (Service Center)

  • Field Exam (Revenue Agent/ Tax Compliance Officer)
